Bachelorette x2

bluemoon | 8:40 AM | Be the first to comment!
The producers of The Bachelor threw viewers a curve ball last night when they announced that next season's Bachelorette would be two women! Both Britt and Kaitlyn were chosen by ABC as the next Bachelorette. So what does that mean? Even ABC doesn't know. Here's their press release, as printed in Time:

"ABC's hit romantic reality series, "The Bachelorette," will kick off its 11th the surprises of this season's 'Bachelor' with the biggest one of all: there will be two Bachelorettes: the charming, charismatic beauty, Britt, who captivated Chris Soules and the rest of Bachelor Nation with a memorable hug on that first night at the Bachelor mansion, and Kaitlyn, the gorgeous, fun-loving, warm-herated, but irreverent firecracker who let down her guard only to have her heart crushed. Who will the men prefer? Eventually, only one woman will be left to hand out the final rose."

Already ABC is facing backlash from viewers who are turned off by the thought that The Bachelorette is changing from a show where men compete for a woman, to a show where women have to compete for the right to have men compete for them. Here's the thing, both the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises have sucked lately. They really need some stunt casting to liven up the ratings. May I submit two suggestions:

1) Bethenny Frankel
She is used to being on reality TV, and whoever she ends up with will need to get used to it to, because that's how she makes a living. Where better to find a man comfortable in front of reality TV cameras than on a reality show?

2) Jennifer Lopez
She is in the spotlight, and needs a man that is comfortable in the spotlight too. Where better than a reality show to find one? She likes younger men; who wouldn't want to watch the hot cast of competitors that ABC would cast for her season?

Just a thought.

Lauren Conrad On Relationships

bluemoon | 8:20 AM | Be the first to comment!
Former Laguna Beach and The Hills star Lauren Conrad, 29, recently sat down for an interview with Redbook, where she talked about relationships (Conrad got married last year to William Tell):

"[I was] never a person who was obsessed with the idea of marriage. William Tell was the first person I ever thought I could marry"

On the downside of marrying an attorney:

"I watch The Good Wife with him, and he's like, 'That's incorrect. You would actually do this...' It's a nightmare!"

On working with strong women:

"Over the past few years I've been able to work with several women who I really respected because they didn't take on that role of being a bitch. The were strong, but they were kind and they didn't need to shout to be heard. A lot of women feel like they need to be tough in order to be taken seriously. We have this idea that kindness is weakness, which I don't think is true."

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey recently sold their home in Bel Air for $9 million. The problem? Nick Cannon claims that he had no knowledge of the sale. TMZ reports that Carey and Cannon's business manager, Michael Kane, was in charge of the sale of the house, but that Kane was taking direction solely from Carey's people. Cannon is now suing, and demanding that the proceeds of the house be frozen until it is determined how the money is split. As for Kane, he calls the lawsuit frivolous, and calls Cannon desperate.

Naomi Campbell and Cara Delevingne Duke It Out Over Rihanna

bluemoon | 6:40 AM | Be the first to comment!
Page Six reports that Naomi Campbell and Cara Delevingne got into a physical altercation at Paris Fashion Week over who else? Rihanna. They were at a party for Dasha Zhukova's Garage Magazine at the Paris club Castel on Sunday night, when Campbell began screaming at Delevingne, and accusing her of disrespecting Rihanna (Delevingne wasn't; she and Rihanna don't have a problem with one another). That escalated into pushing and shoving, and then Delevingne started trying to snatch Campbell's weave! Campbell eventually calmed down, continued partying at another venue, and true to form, denied that anything had ever happened.
